Easter at Harlem

Church-goers waiting in line to get inside.

Easter at Harlem in New York City is a unique experience. First, it is an adventure to see church goers patiently wait in line to get into a service; elegantly dressed, sometimes they are told the service is at full capacity and cannot allow anyone else in. Also, for tourists or even photographers is an interesting story-telling driven emotion that transcends.

On a cold Sunday, I visited a few churches in Harlem and took a few photos, some include a group of young kids from the choir. Talking to them was a fulfilling experience of what is like to celebrate a special and full of tradition day in this historic place in New York City. Enjoy the photos!
